Time at home

I started the month of May with a trip to the States. I was blessed to be able to travel home for both of my brothers’ graduations. Cole graduated the first weekend I was home, from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in finance. He got a job and moved to South Carolina in April. I couldn’t be more proud, and it was great to see him for just about a day. Quinn graduated high school, from Peoria Christian. He plans to play golf, and go to Illinois Central College for two years, then will transfer to a 4-year university following his time at ICC. He is planning to study Business. I loved watching him walk across the stage. It felt like just yesterday that was me.

While home, I spent the majority of my time with my family. We enjoy spending quality time together at home as a family. We went to quite a few of my favorite restaurants, made a quick trip to Chicago, and as always shared lots of laughs. I am blessed to have both of my grandmas in Peoria and seeing them is always on the top of my list. I was also able to see friends from high school, who just had a baby in February. It was so fun to meet their little guy.

Following my time in the States, I returned to San Juan, and a team was already on the ground. I’m thankful for my co-workers who allowed me to miss a day of work to be able to see both graduations.

Last week we hosted a team from Southern Utah University. They are always a fun team, and ready to serve!

This week we are off. I’m spending time relaxing, and preparing for our busy schedule ahead. Summer is always a busy time around here. I can’t believe we are this far into the new year!

As many of you know, I have been asking for prayers for my residency. I am currently waiting on a document to be written up, from the government, proving that I work with Solid Rock. It’s a confusing process, that I don’t fully understand. I am also waiting for a document from the police station, assuring I have not committed crimes here. Once those two things are completed, I hope to be approved!

I’ll leave you with a song I’ve been listening to. Trust in God.

Prayer Requests:

  • Residency
  • Summer Teams
