This past month has been pretty busy for me. At the beginning of the month, I flew back to the states from the DR. It is hard to believe I was in the Dominican a month ago. I’m so thankful for the time I get to spend in the DR. Once arriving back in the states, I celebrated Easter with both sides of my family. It is amazing what has changed in a year. Last year all in-person Easter celebrations were canceled, and this year it was encouraging that we were able to be together again.

For Easter, we had my mom’s side over for lunch, and for dinner, we went to my dad’s parents’ house. Spending time with family is so important to me, especially since I will be making the move back to the DR next month! Following Easter, I spent some time at home and working a few days making concrete countertops with a friend.

Currently, I am at Joe and Shannon’s house, working in the SRI office and hanging out together. We have gone disc golfing, watched their niece and nephews track meets, and we have gone to the park a few times. It has been a fun week!

On Wednesday I went to Taylor University to see some of my best friends. It was great to spend the day hanging with them. All three of them will graduate in May, so this was my last trip visiting them while they were at school. I am so thankful for these friends

As I said previously, I am excited to officially say that I will be making the move back to the Dominican on May 16th! I cannot believe the time has come. Currently, we have 4 teams coming this summer. I am excited to get back to work and to be back in the DR full-time. I have learned so much in the last year, but I would say what I learned the most is trusting in God’s perfect timing.

Please be in prayer for me as I begin to pack up my things here in the states and get ready to transition back to life in the DR.
