Before heading home, we wrapped up our final team, Southern Utah University. We took SUU to see the Christmas lights displayed throughout San Juan. This is a tradition with SUU that I’m happy I now get to be a part of. After the group left Friday morning, I stayed in San Juan to prepare the guesthouse for the new year. I was able to get a lot done that day, so that when I return I’ll have have most things prepped and ready to go. I flew out Saturday morning and and thanks to Jeff and Kamanda for driving me to the airport! Here is a picture of me with Braegan and Brantley before I flew out.
I returned home late Saturday night. It was so good to see my parents and brothers again! Our very good family friends also stopped by that night. On Sunday, we went to Northwoods Community Church Christmas production. This is one of my favorite family traditions and church services each year.
I have spent time catching up with friends who I haven’t seen in quite some time.
We had my mom’s family over on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas we spent the day with my dad’s family.
On Sunday we spent the day in Chicago, and went to Top Golf. This is one of our favorite places to go for the day. It’s been a great trip, and I feel blessed to have been able to come home. I feel refreshed and ready for the next season of teams. The guesthouse will be full for the next eleven weeks.
On another note, I would like to thank each and every person who has been a part of this journey with me. Thank you for the prayers, generous donations, love, and trust. Growing up, I felt called to the mission field, and I truly can’t believe this is what I’m able to do. I’m so excited for what is to come in 2020. God has great plans for this organization. I’m praying for each team that I come into contact with this year and that lives will be changed for God.
Trusting you had a Merry Christmas, and wishing you a Happy New Year.
